St Benedict's The students of St Benedict's Ju-Jitsu club have been working extremely hard towards their gradings which will take place at the beginning of December. The students in the infant class have excelled themselves learning scarf hold, shoulder hold, shoulder hold to the mount and side four quarters plus stances and strikes. This is also the first term that girls have participated in both the infant and junior Ju-Jitsu classes. The juniors have been learning two shoulder arm locks, one straight arm lock, one straight arm lock with figure four finish, defence against a back slash and five palm heal strikes plus revision from previous belts. About twelve of these junior students were infants who moved up to the juniors in September and I am pleased to report that they have all worked hard to settle into their new class taking the extra work in their stride. Well done. Congratulations also to Jordan Bedeau who is the student of the month. Jordan has only been with the club for two terms but he is very keen about his Ju-Jitsu and has always made an effort to learn and understand the techniques taught to him. I would like to finish by wishing all the students "good luck" in their forthcoming gradings, I am sure they will all do well. |
