Dave Kingsnorth Sensei
2nd Dan M.G.R.Y.

Dave Kingsnorth Sensei
I was born in Barnet Herts, 1958, and had lived there all my life until moving to East Anglia in 1985. I am married to Lynn with two children Donna and Karl.

I work full-time for the Forestry Commission as their Site Surveyor, covering the whole of East Anglia forest district. I survey the plantations, assessing the crops for thinning and clear fell work whilst working closely with essential services, ensuring that when Forestry operations begin there is the minimum of disruption, and that the work site is safe.

I am a Special Constable with Suffolk Constabulary, and hold the position of ASO. I also have the role of 'Wildlife Liaison Officer', within the Sector, as I work in the forestry.

I have been training since I was 21. I have my third Dan, Kukkiwon certificate, in WTF Tae-Kwon-Do, which is my first style, and a first Dan Hakudo. I was inaugurated into the MGRY at the anniversary dinner in 2003 by Kevin Pell Hanshi. At this time I was running my Tae Kwon Do School, and assisting with the Judo Club.

I obtained my 1st Dan Judo on 10th July 2004, and recently received my 2nd Dan from Soke Kevin Pell at the 16th anniversary dinner 25th March 2006.

I've been running the Weeting Judo Club since 2003, and with the help of the students and parents we have built the club up to over 40 members.

My ambition is to maintain a family atmosphere at the club and to develop the 'Art' of Judo in the young, and senior, members.
